[Review] Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

Hi lovely readers ^^ I'm here with a new review (finally)! This is the first product from Mizon and with snail mucus that I used. At first I thought "mucus? eww" but then I decided to order it for my mother because i've seen the best reviews about it. I couldn't control my curiosity and I used it too!
Mizon snail recovery gel cream is the gel type product from the Snail Recovery Line. The steps are the following:
  1. All-in-one Snail Repair Cream ( of course you'd have to cleanse your face prior to this step)
  2. Snail Repair Intensive Ampule
  3. Snail Repair Eye Cream
  4. Snail Recovery Gel Cream
  5. Snail Repair BB Cream
  6. Snail Repair Hydro mist
You don't have to use all these products necessarily! Unless you need super repair anti-wrinkle care of course! Would I recommend all the line for a flawless perfect skin? I don't know, I haven't tried all the products but the gel is pretty good! Well, not so good for me and my mother because it caused us inner spots. You know, these spots that grow under your skin and hurt you if you touch them? EDIT: Turns out the reason of my inner spots wasn't this product! I'm happy for that I keep using it!

This gel is pretty absorbing and light. Very moisturizing, probably not suitable for oily skin type. Like mine! I woke up with a super oily face. However, the redness was completely removed from my face and I was glowing! Really, this is a great cream for getting rid of redness. I'm not sure about wrinkles because I don't have any but my mother's face was improved too after only one use. I used this product two times just to make sure! EDIT: Snail products also regenerate the cells therefore healing scars!

Ingredients:
Snail secretion filtrate, butylene glycol, cyclopentasiloxane, glycerin, Bis-peg-18 methyl ether, dimethyl silane, polysorbate2-, sodium hyaluronate, carbomer, glycosyl trehalose, hydrogenated starch hydolsyate, triethanolamine, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, dimethicone, hydroxyethylcellulose, caprylyl glyocol, ethylhexylglycerin, sodium polyacrylate, centella asiatica extract, portulaca oleracea extract, camellias sinensis leaf extract, nelumbo nucifera flower extract, betula platylphylla japonica juice, tropolone, copper tripeptide-1, allantoin, panthenol, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, adenosine, disodium edta - Taken from prettyandcute.com

I'm not sure which ingredient caused us those spots but it might be leaf and plant extracts. I've gotten spots before by using products with ingredients like those.

Overall this is a great product for people with redness, wrinkles, dull and dry/normal skin! Please note that just because it caused me and my mother spots doesn't mean it's going to do the same with you!

The scent: It doesn't smell anything special and it's not strong. It's not very pleasant either. Average smell that reminds me of snail because this is how my brain works! So I'm still a bit discussed :P

MY RATING 4/5

Because it's a great product but caused me spots and oily skin. Update August 1st, I have been using this gel every night and it does really makes my face oily-er. It seems it doesn't do the same with other people's oily skin haha. Please consider that every face is different even if it's the same skin type with yours. Thank you.

Have you tried any product from this line? Have you tried any product with snail secretion before?

  5. it also improved my wrinkled hands but up to a certain extent only plus when I stop using it on my face I have a sudden minor breakout. I also enjoy mixing it with bb cream, it kinda gives me this glowy and well moisturize effect

    1. oh, also I think products with snail are for those with troubled skin types (well that's what I usually read) as snail mucus heals and lessen the appearance of scars

  6. I have combination skin and love this! I find that it has really evened out my skin tone and given me a glow. It hasn't made me breakout at all. I use a little bit of moisturizer over top on my dry areas.

    1. I've seen other girls saying that it didn't make their skin oily, it actually helped with oil control! I think I'm the only one with really bad oily skin :< It's not oily the first few hours ^^

  11. Too bad it made your skin oilier. I hope it wouldn't with mine, I am planning on buying this. I have read some reviews too that said it isn't good for dry skin too. lol. I guess the only way to find out is to give it a try. :)
